The Fred Perry x Amy Winehouse collection is now available from the label's website...
“Referencing Amy’s Fifties Americana and Art Deco Miami, the collection features an exclusive print scattered with Cadillacs, juke boxes and cats-eye sunglasses in a palette of pink mist pale blue and black,” Fred Perry said this morning. “Under such circumstances, the usual fees and royalties and fees from the collection will be donated to the Amy Winehouse Foundation. Fred Perry will also make a seasonal donation to the Foundation.”
Updated Monday August 7, 11.25am: Fred Perry has decided to release the Amy Winehouse for Fred Perry Collection, “after much consideration and with the blessing of Amy’s family”, the brand announced this morning. Winehouse’s royalties and fees from both collections will be donated to the soon-to-be-established Amy Winehouse Foundation. Fred Perry will also make a seasonal donation to the Foundation.
“When Fred Perry came to us to ask what we would like to do with the new collection it was natural to continue,” Winehouse’s father Mitch said in a statement. “Amy loved working on both collections and would want them to be made available. All the money we make and the donation that Fred Perry will give will go straight into to the Amy Winehouse Foundation which we are setting up to help children and young people in her name.”
